We live as though there will always be more time. Another day, another chance, another moment to do the things we keep putting aside.
Remember the End is a Memento Mori piece built around a simple truth: our time is limited. The fractured skull represents the slow and unavoidable passage of time, a reminder that nothing physical remains untouched forever.
But remembering death is not meant to make life darker. It is meant to make the time we have matter more.
MEMENTO MORI · CARPE DIEM
The reverse carries two ancient ideas that complete the piece: MEMENTO MORI · CARPE DIEM. Remember you must die. Seize the day.
One reminds us that life has an end. The other reminds us what to do with the time before it.
Together, they are a reminder to be present, make deliberate choices and stop treating time as something unlimited.
SCULPTED IN SOLID BRASS
Each coin begins as a thick blank of solid brass and is individually engraved in deep sculpted relief. The fractured surfaces and recessed details are darkened by hand, while the raised areas are polished to bring out the depth and contrast of the design.
Every coin is engraved, darkened, polished and finished by hand in Québec, Canada. Small variations in tone and finish are part of the process, making each piece slightly different from the next.
MORE THAN AN OBJECT
Remember the End was made to be held, carried and revisited. Keep it as a pocket piece, display it as a small work of brass, or carry it as a daily reminder that the value of time comes from knowing it will not last forever.
Remember the end. Make the time before it count.
