THE IDEA BEHIND LIVE HARD, DIE HARD
Live Hard, Die Hard is not about being reckless. It is about refusing to spend your life protecting yourself from living it.
The skull at the center represents the destination we all eventually share. The crossed weapons, flames and aggressive forms surrounding it were intentionally designed to give the piece a raw, uncompromising character.
Eventually everyone reaches the same destination. I would rather arrive knowing I used the time I was given.
A HANDMADE BRASS COIN
Each coin begins as a thick blank of solid brass and is individually engraved in deep sculpted relief. The raised surfaces are polished while the recessed areas are darkened by hand, creating the contrast and depth that define each piece.
Every coin is engraved, darkened, polished and finished by hand in Québec, Canada. Small variations in tone and finish are part of the process, making each piece slightly different from the next.
